Welcome to SEA -
Sustainable Ethical Agribusiness

Sustainable Ethical Agribusiness (SEA) is an innovative, web based platform that focuses on sponsorship and administration for ethical and sustainability-focused agribusiness ventures. Our mission is to support and enhance sustenance and small-scale farmers primarily in Ghana, by providing them with the necessary resources to expand their farming activities, implement more sustainable farming practices, cultivate more crops and generate more income. We achieve this by collaborating with ethically-minded sponsors and specialist international  organisations operating throughout Africa..

By sponsoring our farm projects, participants contribute to the betterment of rural communities and help us achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 1 and 2, which involve eradicating poverty and ensuring food security. This is particularly crucial in areas affected by mass urban migration, as it helps maintain a stable agricultural food chain both nationally and internationally.

To ensure the success of our projects, we work closely with experienced agronomists, government bodies, global and local NGOs, and utilise cutting-edge agribusiness apps and advanced technologies such as drone and satellite imagery for data analytics. This enables us to provide real-time feedback and support to sponsors, farm managers, and off-takers, thereby fostering confidence as well as promoting a sustainable, eco-friendly farming environment. As a result, we can help maximise yields, increase profits, and contribute to a better future for all.

This is how it Works

Sponsor a Farm

Pick an available plot and farmer to sponsor and complete our on-boarding process then sit back, relax and monitor the progress of your farm.

We Manage Things

Our experienced team oversee the day to day management of the farms, thereby assuring that the best farming are implemented and maintained.

Harvesting

Once crops are ready for harvesting, we again oversee and manage the harvesting, storing, any processing and packaging and finally the transportation of crops for onward sale.

Sell

We have off-take agreements in place with both local and international buyers, to purchase the crops we help grow, as soon as they have been harvested, packed and transported for sale.

Women in Maize Farming

WE ARE LAUNCHING A TRAINING INITIATIVE DESIGNED FOR LOCAL MAIZE FARMERS WITH THE LONG TERM GOAL OF ENHANCING PRODUCTION YIELDS THROUGH SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES. A PARTICULAR EMPHASIS IS BEING PLACED ON WOMEN, WHO COMPRISE MORE THAN 60% OF THE AGRICULTURAL WORKFORCE IN THE TARGET AREA. ADDITIONALLY, WE AIM TO INSPIRE LOCAL YOUTH TO ENGAGE IN MAIZE FARMING TO HELP COMBAT FOOD INSECURITY AND POVERTY IN THE REGION. OUR PROGRAM SEEKS TO TRANSITION FARMERS FROM THEIR SUBSISTENCE FARMING PRACTICES TO A MORE SUSTAINABLE AND ALSO COMMERCIALLY VIABLE APPROACH, AIMING TO NARROW THE GENDER GAP IN BOTH YIELD AND INCOME LEVELS.
